TitanFlex? Setup as a road bike
I own a TTFlex Transition, setup with full aero “kit” which I use for triathlons – medium and long course. Really like the bike – fast and comfortable. And, also as others have mentioned in this forum, Tom (the owner + founder of TTFlex) is wonderful to work with.

Am now thinking about buying a second TTFlex and setting it up with drop bars for road cycling in the mountains.

Hoping to collect your collective wisdom on how the stable the bike is on descents and how the bike climbs (unfortunately, I don’t have enough datapoints with my TTFlex tri bike, and those that I do, are an apples to orange comparison to my Cervelo R3).

Thanks,

Eric

although it is not aTitanFlex, I have "repurposed" my Softride into a crit bike. Works quite well, better than my Scott Foil in the crits. NOT as good on hills!

Should work fine. The setup is super adjustable, and I've found the BB to be stiff enough for climbing (I have the original, not the transition), and the beam stiff enough (I'm 180 on a Vanilla) that there's no bobbing. The main issue is weight. It's not going to be as light as a carbon road frame, but will have a comfort edge. The frame descends well (though it's also going to be a function of how you set up the weight distribution as much as anything); the flex in the beam helps grip during turns (like a moto suspension).
