The situation for Camilla Pedersen on the first of October
Quote | Reply
A good friend of Camilla is updating this blog on the situation:

indsamlingtilmille.blogspot.dk - and she is also writing a short version in english.

Her situation is improving :)

Here in Denmark they will have a duathlon to raise money for Camilla, and to collect money for treatment/comeback.

If you have some spare coins, and will support Camilla - they also have a paypal account.

indsamlingtilmille@gmail.com

The total today is: $11.582

Truly not trying to be a jerk... but isn't there universal healthcare in Denmark? Why you such high taxes to have things like health care....and education, etc paid for?

Again, not trying to be a jerk... just would be good to know what this money would be going to.

Healthcare will likely cover her hospital stay and any drugs she needs. It may not cover all of her needed therapies after the fact. It also won't cover lost wages while she recovers, assuming she didn't have a regular job with sick leave (I really don't know her situation).

Racing as pro triathlete in Denmark does not generate much money. So while she has to pay for theraphy (which is not covered by national health care), she most likely also needs funds as she is not winning any prize money for a while.
