The TRIumph Project: 21 Half Irons in 21 Days
Quote | Reply
This summer, Jeff Fairbanks will attempt 21 half irons in 21 days in 14 states along the eastern US coast. I haven't met him but he's doing one in the town I live in here in NC so I'm gonna help him with the logistics and roll out some miles with him when he's in town.

Thought some of you would be interested in the project.

"This summer, Fairbanks will embark on an audacious three-week string of 21 triathlons—all at the half-Ironman distance of 70.3 miles—in 14 states along the East Coast to raise awareness about the rank and file of this three-pronged racing discipline. The footage he gathers will provide the raw material for The TRIumph Project, a documentary celebrating his sport of choice."

Well, this is just around the corner starting July 27 in Maine as Jeff works his way down the east coast doing a half iron every day for 21 days. If he's coming through your stomping grounds give him a shout out for support!

Had a great day alongside Jeff Fairbanks on his Triumph Project for day 14 of 21 consecutive half iron triathlons in Grimesland, NC! What a great guy, very humble, and very thankful for the support our gang brought for yesterday's event! It was brutal out there with heat and humidity but he trucks on with a great attitude.

Please give him some support if he's coming near your town this week. He's doing a good thing. Google Triumph Project for more.

Here are some pics:

Swim leg complete! Jeff's the one tatted up.

We had a good group for the bike leg. He was choked up over the support even! Yeah, that's Dave Mirra's crib in the background. Lauren was gracious to host the day at their home.

The Triumph Project Documentary is now available on YouTube. Uploaded last week. Kudos to Jeff for taking on and completing twenty-one 70.3 triathlons in twenty-one days. Crazy that he sold his house to support this project!
