The OFFICIAL Kona Race Day Thread

I thought it would cool for an athlete competing to start the race day thread. And I know cool.

Good luck to all competitors, may all of your dreams come true....or be CRUSHED by Nat Faulkner.

Sounds good to me. Good luck, I wish it was 6:45 Hawaii time already! I've been up since 4:45 West Virginia time, thank you newborn baby... who's name just happens to be Kona :)

Best of luck Mike!

Also, for those of you who have looked at the Athletes Qualified for World Championships & may have also been confused (as I was), it includes the names of whose qualified for Kona AND Clearwater. Just an FYI.

Time for a little ride & some pumpkin picking then glued to the webcast for Super Bowl Saturday!!

Good luck to all competing today!! Aside from Chrissie W (way to cool not to root for her) it would be great to see some underdogs like Lieto, Lovato, Bell, Biscay or Ficker reach the podium......here's to an underdog day!!!!

I posted this in the other thread but maybe this is the place for this:

I am looking to track an athlete on my cell, are they going to have the text message updates this year the way they have in previous years?

How big are your video player screens? I'm only getting about a 2" x 2". I thought the past couple of years I could go full screen.

The pros always manage to start like 50-60ft infront of the 'real' start. Nice.

I'm watching it in Google's chrome, and it plays in the browser. I've also got the ffdshow decoder, which it is using. I can right click on the video, and tell it to play fullscreen. Looks pretty good.

I haven't been able to find it yet. Let us know if anyone finds it. I have to do a long run today and don't want to miss my friends' splits.
