Tattoo parlor recommendation- New York City area
Quote | Reply
Hi all,
Finished my first Ironman and after 3 years of wanting the infamous m-dot... It's time. Please help provide tattoo parlor recommendations in the NYC area. I'm in no rush and will wait for appointment w the right artist. Nothing special, a simple m-dot on calf.

Pictures would be fantastic!

Thanks all,
Jason

First-Congratulations on your first IM!

I have had most of my work done by Adam at Big Joe's Tattoo in White Plains. I would highly recommend him.

Another good artist is Tre at Tattoo Me in Dobbs Ferry right off the Sam Mill River Parkway. He has done most of the rest of my work.

I love Simone from NY Hardcore Tattoo in the East Village. He did and designed my M-dot, and I love it.

You might receive some harsh comments about getting a mdot tattoo in this thread but go for it if it means a lot to you.

I went to infinity tattoo after IMNYC. It's in midtown. Lee was the artist. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he drew up a nice design.

Anil Gupta in NYC. You'll get a totally awesome biomechanical M-dot.

Plus, Anil is the nicest guy ever.

Congrats on the finish. I went to Angelo at Champion Tattooing in the Bronx. Very friendly and professional. I asked for a custom design of the American flag filled into the M Dot and it came out flawless and razor sharp.

Got my M-dot at Big Joe's back in 2005. I think it was done by Adam also.

Why not go to Rikers and get some old school prison ink?

Hell, you did an Ironman, why go into some cushy parlor when you can be cut up and injected with a mixture of urine, burned rubber and soot.

Since the M dot is easy as fuck to you don't need some specialist for that bit it's always good to check the portfolio of the artist you choose in whatever shop you go.
Cause I was working there and my friend owns the place...like someone else mentioned
NYHC Tattoos on Stanton,
NY adorned is great , Lotus Tattoo (Sayville), Tattoo Sean (Bronx)

Not sure he'll get that since the post was from 2012 and doesn't look like he's logged on in awhile.
