Swim cap size - are there caps that come in larger?
I have lately started using swim caps to put my tempo trainer under. I bought some TYR silicone cap and while I have been wearing them for a few weeks, they are uncomfortably tight around my head every time I use them. That is regardless of whether I have the trainer placed inside or not.

I did not think I have an overly large head and also do not wear long hear.

The caps all come in "one size fits all" at least from what I have seen so far.

Does somebody have experience with caps that come in a little larger? A different brand or material maybe?

Thx in advance for any good advise.

I believe that some of the high end dome caps come in 2 sizes, but most are one size fits most.

That said, I have a huge head, and I find that latex caps tend to be better than silicone. After a few uses, the latex ones will stretch out so they won't be as tight.

I used to suffer with Tyr and Zoggs caps for years (from the goodie bags at races). Too tight, and would never properly cover my ears.

Nootca makes a very nice cap (I think it's silicone) that seems to be cut slightly larger. Whatever it is they're doing, it doesn't slip and covers more of my head.

I take the cap and just reef on it to stretch it out. Kinda like using a rubber stretch band. Just keep doing that until it feels loose enough. I have a big noggin.

You might look a little silly swimming with a condom on your head.
When I race, I always wear my condom where it belongs - on my schlong.
