Haven't seen a thread on this race yet. Was announced a few weeks ago and is a part of the growing xtri team.
The race takes place in Åre in northern Sweden with a upstream swim with underwater currents towards Swedens largest waterfall Tännforsen. Water will likely be chilly.
After that the bike portion is 205km up and down the Swedish mountains with over 2000 vertical meters. Course profile below.
The run looks brutal, with 2600 vertical meters finishing on top of Ă…reskutan. The exact profile hasn't been released yet.Here's Ă…reskutan during the summer
I had told myself I wasn't doing a ld race next year to focus on speed, but after this was released I can't hold myself. There are 250 spots and registration opens Nov 1st!
Any thoughts? Who else is up for the challenge?
