Strava Perks

Today, Strava is announced new perks for Strava premium members that includes

-free accidental damage coverage to smartphones or bike computers damaged while using strava upto $600
-taxi reimbursement for mechanical breakdowns
-running race insurance in instances involving injuries
-discounts from Wiggle, New Balance, and SiS

It is expected with their new portal new perks will be added in the future. It lists only in the US,UK, and Australia. I have a follow up for the Canadian contingent.

OK, so are these perks value propositions that will yield more premium members for Strava? It's definitely outside the box thinking, and a move in a new direction away from workout analysis, segments, social platform features.

I think it's exactly what it says it is perks. It won't cause someone to switch but it's a nice addition for nothing extra. To be fair, Strava is really more for the social or general population, it won't satisfy most here and never will. That's what TP, WKO, GC are for.
