Stolen Bike - Rochester NY - Blue Competition AC-1 Aero

I wanted to enlist the help of the Slowtwitch community in helping to find a friends stolen road bike. Bike is a small (50-52cm) Blue Competition AC-1 Aero and was stolen from a Rochester, NY Park Ave. apartment. Full Ultegra components, blue bar tape, Zipp Service Course bars (not the Oval ones in the third picture), clip on aerobars, Shimano SPD mountain bike pedals, blue carbon fiber water bottle cages, saddle bag, and bento box.

A police report has already been filed, but if anyone happens to see it listed on eBay, craigslist, etc. please have them call the Rochester Police Investigation Hotline (1-585-428-7210), and reference incident CR# 14-303979. Thanks!

If it isn't found, Blue Bicycles is happy to get your friend a new Blue AC1 at a reduced price. Just let us know.

It has been a few years since I've lived in Rochester but I'd check out the Park Ave Trading Post. Many a burglar would dump their ill-gotten gains there. It used to be located at Monroe Av near Oxford St.

Thanks for the advice. Definitely working to notify all of the local pawn shops. Bike was stolen from near Park Ave and Oxford St so thats in the area.

If you have renters insurance you may be able to get some money back. I was successful with my homeowners insurance after my bike was stolen two years ago.

It might be buried under snow if whoever stole the bike in rochester drove to buffalo to try and hide it and got caught in the storm there.

Rochester has about half an inch of snow, buffalo actually has about 4 inches, the south town suburbs of buffalo are buried. Yup lake effect snow is crazy like that.

Mike hope the bike gets found. Be sure to notify all the bike shops.

Thankfully she did have renters insurance and is currently having her claim processed. But yeah, crazy weather up here in Western NY at the moment. Who knows, with the 60+ degree weather that is predicted for Monday we might find it abandoned in a melting snowbank.
