Splicing cyclocomputer sensor wires
I've never done it, but I assume there should not be any problems splicing a sensor wire. I want to move the speed sensor on my Cateye HR monitor/cyclocomputer to the rear chainstay, but the wire is not long enough. This stuff is just plain ol' wire isn't it? Any precautions before I chop? I'll probably solder it back together and use some heat-shrink tubing to finish off the job.

Best choice is to see if Cateye has a rear-wheel sensor kit for your computer. Most computers come with front wheel mount only and rear-wheel can be purchased separately.

As for splicing the wire: Is it one coaxial cable or two distinct wires?
