Pretty cool

Thoughts on this compared to Quarq or the other popular options

I know someone who has had one since fall- It has not been near as accurate as DC Rainmaker says-

Aren't they just rebranded 4iiii with some slick marketing?

ETA: are they really called Powercranks? Holy sh** that's funny. Paging Frank Day!

Meh..I’d stay with the big three (SRM, Powertap Hub, Quarq), they’re tried and true

They aren't really but I'm not sure that is such a good thing. Bikeradar's review of the new Shimano power meter (https://www.bikeradar.com/...-meter-review-51582/) shows that even one of the big players can fatally screw up a top-end power meter. £1500 and it doesn't even measure properly.

Sometimes it is better to buy a good wheel rather than trying to reinvent it.

And power2max. They've proven themselves.

Stay away from 4iii and Stages.

Edit: besides that spesh crank pictured isn't all that. I have that crank on my shiv. It had a bent tooth just the other day. No idea why. I certainly didn't damage or hit the rings.

4iiii’s PMs have been in the market for a while now so they’re probably pretty solid. That said, I really like my P2Max NG. I just recharge it at the same time I recharge my eTap.

They've partnered with 4iiii but it’s not a rebranded 4iiii PM. There are a few differences if you've read the review from DCR etc.

+1 about the P2M NG. It is solid, consistent and It holds a charge forever. Has anyone tried the dual 4iiii power meter?

Seems like the kinda thing one might say if they were a competitor to Specialized. Got any data files?

If they had it since fall, then they were on prototype units, which like any prototype units had some issues for some people. That's sorta the point of them. Have they ridden a production unit, and if so, any files?
