Slope mode for KICKR?
Curious - is there any way or software that can control a Kickr in slope mode (meaning it will simulate hills like on a Computrainer by increasing power demands on steeper hills)? Perfpro, maybe?

I saw that veloreality can apparently do it for their video courses, which I will likely try in the future, but was wondering if there's anything else out there that can do this, say for a .gpx file.

You can control slope witht the Wahoo Fitness app, and CycleOps Virtual Training and BKool both slave into the Kickr, adjusting resistance based on the terrain.

With PerfPRO, all of the courses that can be ridden with a CompuTrainer can be ridden with a KICKR and PowerBeam. And it comes with around 700 courses out of the box along with the ability to import outdoor rides.

If you have any other questions let me know.

Thanks,
Drew.

For those of you who use Kickr to simulate hilly / mountainous courses - how well does it work? I know that nothing can compare to the real thing. But if I import a Strava route for a road race that features some mountains - I can ride this course on a Kickr using PerfPro?

Also, using tools like PerfPro you can follow the visual progress of yourself riding the course right? For example - being able to see what position / mile markers of the course you are currently at in anticipation of the climbs. That would be awesome if there was an elevation profile listed for the course that you could follow in real-time.

I didn't see on the perfpro website any details on those 700 courses (I found the 995 workout page.) If you have a link to any more details on those courses it would be really helpful.

Thanks!

During the initial Studio setup process (not Analyzer) it'll ask you if you want to download and install the course pack. From there it gets things setup for you. You can also import them from Studio's course/performances tab within the workout library.
