Unless I'm mistaken, the Pro Trispoke went:

1st, 2nd, 3rd - Mens TT
1st, 2nd, 3rd - Womens TT
1st - Mens u23
1st, 2nd, 3rd - Mens TTT
1st - Womens TT

there may be more results, but that's just what I could collate quickly

Yes it does. It mean at this year's worlds it has more results than any other wheel. Is that result of better design, that you can't say. But what you can say is exactly what the above data says.

Hahhaha okay. The results would most likely have been the same on other wheels

The other thing you can say is that they are paid by Shimano to use the wheel...

Another thing we could say is Shimano sponsors more top pros than anyone else.

Based on the title, I thought this was going to be about more of them exploding.

I'm disappointed...

Froome ran C60s, but yeah. It's baffling to me that, considering all the hand ringing over weight on the final climb, so many top pros ran wheel setups that easily could have been 2-300 grams lighter. Especially with all the tales of WT pros valuing weight over all else.

Using your logic the Giant is clearly the fastest TT bike on the market.

You're putting words in my mouth. No where did I say that wheel was faster than any other wheel. I merely pointed out what people were running. But if you want to run with that then is the winningest TT bike in this years Worlds.

And just think how much faster they would have all been with disc brakes...;) (if the UCI had allowed them)

Just means they paid more in sponsorship money. The pro's would have gladly ran any number of wheels if the sponsor was paying.

Notice how everyone used to buy there own Hed tri spokes and discs to re-brand Prototype when they were sponsored by Pro wheels and didn't build them. Hed doesn't sponsor any teams and notice how there are no longer any Hed wheels about. I have no doubt at the speeds they ride tri spokes are faster over conventional wheels but I wouldn't say Pro may be the fastest or best wheel.

At least one Movistar guy was on HED 3. Probably makes fewer sponsor headaches to use the HED on a Campy team than a Shimano.

Quite a few riders were using de-stickered Pro tri-spokes. Make of that what you will.

Would be cool to understand how the aerodynamics around conventional spokes vs a neutral aerofoil differ, and how that impacts aerodynamics down to through to the rear of the bike. Also does a "thinner" wheel profile not using spokes reduce drag at all or does it make no difference.

I read something on here once about tri spokes don't work well with certain fork styles. It depends on the bike. They look cool but I'll stay with Zipp.
