I had a look for threads related to this, but couldn’t find anything, which I find surprising. Please feel free to point me to those threads.
In triathlons where the transitions are “normal” i.e. where you leave everything by your bike I am pretty organised and follow my plan, and would normally be in the fastest 10%, but as soon as bike and run bags, and changing tents are introduced (e.g. ironmans) it all goes a bit wrong and I waste time.
I have done a few 70.3s and other races with bags, so know how everything works so don’t need the basics explaining, but I just never seem to have a plan and I end up sort of winging it and losing time by just not being organised.
So, as per the title, I am looking to be schooled about how to get through T1 & T2 in the most efficient and fastest way, so i can come up with a definite plan that I can practice.
My next race is a 70.3 with wetsuit swim, I will wear a tri-top and shorts, start and finish with my shoes on the bike, and bike and run without socks.
Any tips?
Thanks ST!
