San Francisco Bike Shop Recommendation?
My friend in SF is looking to buy a road bike. She lives in the Mission. Can anyone recommend a good bike shop in the city? Thanks for your help!

Ditto. Roaring Mouse is the only place to go. For fitting: 3D Bikefit on Bush St.

In addition to the names already posted, she should check out:

Sports Basement Presidio (also Bryant, but Presidio is better for bikes)
Mikes Bikes
Pacific Bicycle
Performance Bikes
Huckleberry Bicycles

Definitely check out Contrada Bikes on Union Street. Awesome group of people, and some really sweet bikes.

These guys have done a lot of work on my bikes and have even built some custom wheels for me. Couldn't be happier.

My friend and I visited Roaring Mouse today and had a wonderful experience testing road bikes. Brianna couldn't have been more helpful or knowledgeable. Highly recommend visiting Roaring Mouse if you're in the area!

You could have your friend go directly to a bike manufacturer like me in Mountain View.

Never thought of that. I assume you are referring to Specialized? Do they have a retail outlet there?

I'd love to tour their facilities as I'm a big fan of their bikes and gear.
