Saddle life span
How long do you all expect to get out of a saddle? I feel like I have a bit of sag in the middle of it and that I am now sitting somewhat 'in' the saddle instead of on top of it. For reference, this is for a road bike, fizik antares, 185lbs, I ride about 4k mi a year and the saddle is 3 years old.

On a related note, has anyone used the specialized power saddle yet? I have a sitero on my TT bike and I love it, is the power a 'road' version of it? It looks similar.

Thanks in advance.

My ISM saddle lasted about 4 seasons before the leather wore through and the padding was no longer uniform.

I recently bought a Dash saddle - less padding than my ISM and I'm still experimenting with getting it dialed in.

It's a non-versus model, I was thinking of trying something with a channel next, as I do like the feel of it on my sitero

I think it really depend on use. I use a Cobb Max on my road and TT bike and I tend to sit on the right side of it. I got 4 years out of the road saddle using it nearly everyday but sit further back, and 3 out of the TT not riding it nearly as much but with a lot of pressure on the front right side.

I don't think I've ever worn out a saddle (crash damage being the exception). Since saddles have gotten better and lighter over the years I usually find a better saddle after ~5 years and the old one either goes on another bike or to the classifieds.
