OUch...
Sanchez Leo is "already done" as he started with a broken chain. I guess it was not meant for him to get a medal today :(

I am completely amazed at this. The slowest guys have gone through 29.9k in 39 minutes. The slow guys...

How does Danny Hart sit down with balls that big?

I am mostly amazed and the crowd.Obviously it is not that packed over 40K but still very very very impressive!

Wow, Ryder just got blown off the road by Castroviejo Nicolas.

I was just pointing that out to someone, for the first mile the crowd is about 5-6 rows deep. Imagine riding 40k in a constant tunnel of noise. No wonder they are going so fast.

Not video, but you can at least see the splits here :

Ryder 1:50 back @ 29.9km. I knew he wasn't a TT specialist, but ouch.

Awful, awful day.

I know "shit happens," but I have never, ever punctured in a race. And I have certainly never broken a chain. Now, I don't put down the kind of power these guys do, nor do my tires see the same mileage, but when the Olympic TT is one day (not part of a stage race) every four years, how come your tires aren't brand new and your chain is in pristine condition? If your team doesn't give you support for the Olympics, why not glue your own tires (or in Martin's case, put your own clinchers on)?

Outside of tacks thrown on the course, it just seems like some guys puncture way too much.

Fabian doesn't look like his usual self on the bike and might not be his day. Martin looks super smooth and might be able to do it and at least give Wiggo a run for his money. Who will get third is the toss up -- Froome, Phinney, Rogers or Fabian.

Maybe that is the problem, they are so new that no one noticed a manufacturing error. Unlikely, but possible.

yep... Something fishy with Fabian...

Looks like Wiggins is going to get the gold if he keep it up since he was first @ second checkpoint!

Wow, Martin is turning over a massive gear and looking smooth, yet Wiggo just smoked him through time check. Wiggo is nails this year

His move past Sanchez just then was so fast. Maybe Sanchez is just enjoying his day now, knowing he is out of it.

The New Specialized Wind Tunnel
Will this be a game changer for Specialized, in both sales and product design, or will it not move the sales and design needle versus those in Specialized's competitive set?
Yes, Game Changer
Minor move forward
Won't budge the needle
