S-works 6 vs s-works trivent sizing issue
Quote | Reply
hi guys

im new on this forum but iĀ“ve been reading topics here for a long time

im having some doubts about the correct sizing of the s-works 6 road shoe

last week i went to my LBS in lisbon Portugal to check if there were any s-works 6 available but all of the colours where sold out and the estimate time of arrival is late august

i then checked online bike shops especialy bike24 and the shoe is available

im having trouble deciding the correct size of it

i own an S-WORKS Trivent (the black ones) in size 46

is there someone who also owns a s-works trivent and bought the s-works 6? Are the sizes equal or they differ from one another?

If someone could give a tip about it would be nice

Hi Quarky.

I have both in size 47. The S Works Trivent is a bit tighter - my great toe just touches the end (not a great problem for me) on the left in the S Works Trivent but not the S Works 6. So the S Works 6 is probably a bit longer. The shape of the S Works 6 is also a lot broader in the toe box.

Cheers,

Sam.

hi SamuelMedway

thanks for the help

so you reccon that the s-works 6 are a bit less narrower on the midle of the foot right?

any problem on the ankle clip? iĀ“ve read that it grips the foot a bit too much and sometimes it can be painfull on the achiles heel region

The Trivents are definitely narrower around the toe end compared to the 6's.
I haven't noticed any difference in width through the midfoot of the shoe.

By ankle clip, do you mean Boa? The Boa allows for a lot of adjustment. The heel counter is quite stiff, but I don't have any problems with it impinging on my achilles tendon. I don't think this shoe would be comfortable sockless (for me) but I always wear socks with it.
