Rowing on wheels seeking tips
Hello from a new member!

Is anybody know these rowing bikes made in Netherlands linked here http://www.rowingbike.com/en/ ?
They do seem very well made...

I might be interested to invest in this but was wondering if you knew a place in Southern California where I could eventually try one? or if someone know an owner to who I could get in touch for a test ride.

Or lastly someone who is selling.

I seems a pretty rare unit around but I remember to have seen a guy riding one in Santa Monica on the bike path years ago.

Yes in LA I agree.... would need various conspicuous add-ons eventually to ride it on road.

But it really seems a very complete workout in one session done outdoor & in motion which I think is perfect.

Apparently it brakes very well.

I just need to find a place to test ride it or someone here in Socal who sell one.

I'm kind of disappointed that it isn't ridden backwards, like a row-boat.

+1
Or even better, an 8-"oared" version with everyone backwards except with a little perch for a cox! I bet it would be very fast! Like the ultimate paceline.

And then we need to get backwards aero helmets for them.

One of my former crewmates has one and has won the European Championships a couple of times I think (ít's a small affair) which is held in Zeeland, The Netherlands (where the Tour de France will pass after the Grand Depart in Utrecht this year). I know he knows the owner of the company as I think he got one of the bikes for free after winning the event or something. If you want I can put you guys in touch and go from there. You can send me a private message.

Thanks snaaijert!

If your former crewmates is still in or around Los Angeles that sound a neat opportunity to see & test one of those bikes...

let me figure out how private message works on this forum as I am new here.

Have you seen this one: http://www.rowbike.com. I've actually ridden one a few times as the owner/inventor lived in my hometown.
