Roof Rack Transportation
I am heading up to New York to visit family next week, it is a 10-11 hour drive from NC. What are your opinons on transporting my bike on the roof rack that distance? I don't have any other way to take my bike with me, because all the other space is taken by the wife, kids, and luggage, and I can't leave any of them behind.

Thanks,

Mark

Clean your bike when you get to New York - bug splatter on the handlebars and brake levers is just foul. Make sure you get the cassette cleaned, too - it is optimally designed to trap flies, grass hoppers, bees, yellow jackets, etc...

You may want to look in to getting a bike bra to help keep it clean.

Bike Bra is a definate!

The Road-Bike version that Performance Bike sells WILL fit a tri-bike with Areobars. even though sells reps don't know if it will or not.

I've driven from NC to St Pete Fl and NC to Boston and bra has saved bike from tons of bug guts, etc.

They have them at Carbarro Store if your close to Triangle area.
