Rob English, master frame builder and uber biker, in the hospital after crash

I hadn't seen a thread on this, but thought some of you may be interested in chipping in. There is a place where they are accepting donations towards his bills and recovery after a nasty crash

Rob builds some sweet bikes. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear that. His bikes look great. In a perfect world where I had lots of disposable income, I'd definitely get one of his steel bikes.

Does anyone know how Rob is doing after his crash? This is an old thread, but just wanted to see if anyone knows how he is doing.

I have no first hand knowledge, but I was curious so I went to his page and was happy to hear he has made a ton of progress since I last looked.

Rob is back to building, and his work is, as always, stunning.

I'm not sure if he's 100%, but he's certainly back to building - I got on his waiting list this past June - can't wait!

Great to hear he is back on the horse and is working to get back to his old self.

You ordered an English, wow. These are almost more works of art than bike IMHO. Stunning to look at the simplistic, well placed lines. I love his front end/fork area too. Something that reminds me of the steel Colnagos.

Agreed - I like to think of his work as 'functional art'. I got on the waiting list for my 40th birthday - it's my getting old gift to myself.
