If you're on a budget, Venzo Pro stand on Amazon. $89 delivered with Prime. Had mine for 1.5 years with zero issues. Works great.

This is the name of the exact one I got on amazon - VENZO Workstand Bike Bicycle Race Team Repair Stand
It doesn't clamp the seatpost which is the type I wanted. No complaints. Relatively cheap.

yeah thats kind of what I was hoping to snag. no clamping on any of the post just the fork should work good for what I am doing which isn't much at the moment.

I have the Feedback Sports Sprint stand. It's a great stand, the bike sits on the bottom bracket stand, and you can rotate the stand to clean the bike.

I've had the same one for a few weeks. I love it. The only criticism is that there is nothing holding the bottom bracket in place... so I grab a velcro strap and put it through the frame and around the stand. Voila!

I like the Park Tool stand, but they're a bit pricey.

I picked up the Nashbar branded "Basic Repair Stand" earlier this year for (IIRC) like $30 on sale. It's not the best, but pretty good for basic stuff. The bottom bracket sits in a cradle, rather than clamping on the seat tube, which always scared me a little with the aero shaped/carbon stuff we tend to use.

Again, it's not the best, but pretty good for the price. I've done most basic jobs using it, and think it was money well spent.

Before I bought my stand, I tried many different models and brands by borrowing them from friends and teams. I have two mountain bikes, a Tri Bike and four road bikes so I had to get a stand that could be used by all these bikes. These are things I noticed:

Fork clamp stands:
- limited function because you have to remove the front wheel
- cannot work with my Cannondale which has a lefty fork
- cannot work with my Tri bike which has the Di2 battery under the bottom bracket
- cannot flip bike into various angles and positions

Portable stands:
- some are too flimsy
- cannot be used on MTBs which can be quite heavy
- some cannot be used to clamp the aero seatpost of a Tri Bike
- some cannot flip bike into various angles and positions

Ultimately I bought the Park Tool PCS-10 stand for the following reasons:
- sturdy and strong and can handle really heavy MTBs
- still fairly portable and folds down quite well
- the levers allow you to flip the bike vertical or horizontal allowing you to work on various positions
- the positions allow you to bleed the hydraulic brakes of the MTBs
- has accessories to clamp the aero seatpost of my Tri Bike
- has all the replacement parts from Park Tool Co
- proven reliability

- Finally, I bought it cheap from ebay.

Does it come with that accessory? Or is it a separate part? Asking because I'm in the market for a new stand too. Spesh Shiv seatpost appears to be a surplus wing part from Boeing. ;)

I second the Park Tool stands. Not the cheapest, but last a lifetime. I highly recommend getting one with the microadjust clamp. You're less likely to crack a frame or seatpost because of it. Using it allows me to clamp the top tube of our TT bikes vs having to clamp the seatpost.

Another vote for the PCS-10.

The articulation of the clamp is fantastic and it folds up pretty compact too.

I have a Feedback from before they were named Feedback. It's the best. Basically the Classic work stand model.

Recently purchased a new Feedback Ultralight for my Dad and he's impressed.
