Rear light for my Soloist?
I'm setting up my an Alu Soloist as my winter/rain bike.. Any ideas on what light would actually mount on it?

I might actually commute on it from time to time so some bright would be important too.

Light and Motion Vis 180 has an option for an aero post mount. Works on my AR's post and the light is great.

I've also gotten creative with some duct tape to make little holders for Planet Bike Super Flashes when it gets dark earlier and I want 2 lights on the bike.

I think there are seat stay mounted lights as well.

I have an aluminum soloist and have been relying on seat stay mounted lights. I haven't found a good option locally to fit on the aero seat post. Maybe time to expand my search to the internets

I've been successful using this one on my s2 riding "roads" where no road bike should go:

It has two sets of grooves running along the long dimension of the mounting surface that keep it centered on the tail of the foil (look at the last pic - I'm pretty sure that's a Cervelo).
It's too bright to look at on flash mode, USB rechargeable and cheap. Check, check, check. I think exel has free shipping for >$99 right now, so you'll have to find $69 more things to buy to qualify for that.
I suggest good, warm shoe covers, provided you've already got a headlight: http://www.excelsports.com/...;major=5&minor=5

+1 on this. I've got one and like it. Very versatile in mounting.

I put Serfas Thunderbolts on my seat stays. Very easy to use and mount....works great. Herbert even stopped me when I was riding to ask about my lights!

+1, Serfas Thunderbolts are a really good option.

I run (2) on both seatstays and thinking about a 3rd on the post.

I have 2 on the stays and white flashing up front. Use them every ride.

FIBRE FLARE!

These lights are amazing. Incredible visibility, and the silicon straps that come with them mount onto just about anything.

Really one of the best cycling safety purchases I've ever made.

That sounds like an over the top recommendation - I have no affiliation with these guys, they just make a great product!

The Fly6 tail light/camera has comes with a mount that will fit aero seat posts. I've used it on my Shiv.
