After I had an issue with a skewer and my rear wheel pushed into the chainstay, my rear hub has been very rough. I took it into my LBS and he replaced all 4 cartridge bearings. After about 10 miles on the new bearings, the roughness/friction came back. The hub also makes a grinding noise sometimes, especially under lateral loads (out of saddle pedaling). I am wondering if something inside the hub is bent that is causing the friction? Any help would be great.

Which hub? Which wheels. Maybe a recall situation?
They are novatec 372 rear hubs on generic chinese wheels. I have two sets of wheels, and the other set is perfectly fine (same hubs)
