I want to win the XC Mountain Bike Nationals in Mammoth California. I'll be racing at over 8,000 feet and I live at 800. What is the best way for me to get used to the elevaton for race day? I do have some vacation time and could go up early. I also live near some mountains where I could go train at about 7,000 feet. I want reccommendations for how much training at elevation I should do and also when should I show up before race day?
