OK--so I know there are many more who deserve to be here more than I but I thought that given this is my 3rd (and probably last) time here that I would post a daily blog. I'm going to reference you to my blogsite because I have pretty bad internet connectivity and it takes a while to upload pics.

I do intend to upload a lot of pics to my blog and give you my (journeyman) view of all things Kona.

To entice you a bit I will say I had the pleasure of running out at the Energy Lab (for a short time) with the guy I think will win Kona this year (a former Triathlon Gold medalist) ....Here is our pic:

If the pic doesn't come from through I'm sorry--I'm kinda giving up on the photo sharing stuff here at ST---none the less--I hope you enjoy my blog and pictures...

If anyone can help me figure out how to share photos on ST, I'd really appreciate it....

you can only link to the exact JPG here with the icon, so if you don't know where you have it, try uploading to imgur.com and then that will give you the URL to plug into the ST dialog box.

OMG you FINALLY got a GREAT picture of Judy! SO happy so see such a good picture of her!

ok, so here is an example:

i have a picture on my computer and i go to http://imgur.com/ i use FB to login (but feel free to make an account). up on the big fat bar click UPLOAD IMAGES and then you'll get a box in the center of your screen. click browse computer and select your photo, then click start upload. once uploaded you'll get a screen with a menu on the left - select the 2nd option - the one with the .jpg at the end and then copy and paste that into the ST dialog box for images

Read your blog. Pretty cool to run into Jan Frodena. Glad to see he was sweating in that photo. Re your bag. What airline did you fly and how much did they charge you to bring the bike bag on board? Have you used it with other airlines? Looks soooo simple to pack the bike, but stands out as a bike. Just curious what you and others are paying to fly with that bag.

I flew US air and they charged $200--hard to get around it, though i know shome do.

The bag is amazing. Left the pedals and seat in place. I did loosen the aerobars but they claim that isn't necessary...Took me 10 minutes before I was riding in our driveway!

Sweet!

Yeah Jan was sweating but he was running at a 5:00/mile pace up hill and it was 88 degrees out....I was not running with him during that part!

Thank you. I flew 4 times (3 domestic and 1 overseas) with my Pika Packworks this year with total bag fees of $325. It was an exceptionally good year. I didn't use US Scare though. Takes me 20-30 mins to put my bike back together and it would be nice sometimes to just pull it out and go. Fewer tools to pack too!
