Question for Allergy Doctors
I am a 60 year old runner and triathlete who has been a competitive runner for 45 years and triathlete for over 30 years. I train every day for 90 minutes to two hours and currently am on Advair for Asthma and have been experiencing cramping. Initially it was isolated to the left calf, then left hamstring, right calf, right hamstring, and quad. I know what it feels like and minimize the damage by shutting down exercise . I had my electrolyte levels checked and while in the safe range it is just barely making the low range numbers. I have been checked by my family doctor as well as a Orthopedic Doctor. There are no biomechanical issues and both feel it's chemical. The advice given to me was drink Gatorade. I follow solid nutrition and hydration principles as I have for my competitive life. Could the medication be the cause of the levels changing. It really doesn't take long for this to occur and I have no real issues swimming or cycling.

Any thoughts on what to try next would be appreciated.

Thanks
