Question about cabling for centre-pull (or aero) front brakes
Quote | Reply
I'm considering swapping my front brake to a more aero centre-pull type. My question is regarding what to do about cable stops (or hangers?). As I understand it, I would need to have a cable-stop somewhere between the cable exit from the base bar and the brake. My stem doesn't have one built in, and my stem is slammed as low as it goes meaning I can't use a stop that is attached to a stem spacer.

I'd appreciate any advice about what options are available.

Thanks as always!

Depends on the brake maybe but if you were looking at the Tririg Omega as an example, there is an integrated cable hanger which is part of the back plate. I use the integrated stop in my stem and just run cable inner, but with the hanger you can run full outer all the way to the hanger.

Hope that helps.

In addition to the cable stop integrated into the brake, TriRig have cablestops integrated into their stems. So you could go that route too if you're set on another brake
