I have been looking to buy a Pro Missile Evo stem but noticed that some of the stems come with an integrated steerer tube cap/cover and some do not. What is the difference (besides the obvious)? And the stems that don't have the integrated cover, it looks like at the rear of the steerer tube clamp there is a raised lip (hard to tell) that would prevent any spacers placed on top or even the top cap from sitting flush on top of the stem. Can anyone shed some light?
