Quarq RIKEN AL Question
Hey all-

Got a quick question that I am hoping someone could answer. I recently starting looking into power meters, and did my research.

A bunch of types got great reviews, but I keep finding myself coming back to Quarq. Now, I am on a budget and it looks like Quarq's RIKEN AL is for someone on a budget. The one thing I noticed, besides working with SRAM and it also is compatible with Schimano (10 speed only).

My question is- If I plan to upgrade bikes in the next 10-12 months and the bike has Dura-Ace or Ultegra with 11 speed- is there an adapter of some sort to make it compatible?

Thanks in advance-

Alex

You'd just need to get chainrings that are 11-speed compatible, and an 11-speed chain.

They list that Shimano is 10 speed only because they're Shimano 5 bolt rings. The Shimano 11 speed rings are 4 bolt setups (Elsa RS).

I suspect you'll find that the 10 speed rings shift just fine with an 11 speed setup, as long as the chain matches the cassette.
