I use one of those sliding plastic clamps that has rachcte to tighten with. Clamp goes top pipe to bottom of tire...tighten. Helps if clamp as a lip on it. Similar to a c clamp

Any hardware store. Plastic ratchet clamp tool comes in a bunch of sizes. All you need is the smallest one to go from top pipe around tire.. Got tired of tiring to hold crack pipe on valve and pump with one hand.

That requires the disc wheel to have a cutout in both sides, for the clamp to pass through, yes? Does the Premier disc have a cutout on both sides?

It doesn’t. But I think I understand what he said. You basically put the crack pipe on the valve and use the ratchet to hold the pipe down.

Looks like an everyday pipe wrench but
Plastic and has a Ratchet mech to tighten used in wood working to hold down stuff. do not need to be cut out on both sides of disc the reason to look for one with big lip. All it does is act like vise from bottom of tire to top of crack pipe..done it for years..second choice grab someone to hold pipe while you pump away

They are in production now. I don't have a firm shipment date yet but I am estimating May/June. We have XS, SM, MD and Large on the next order.

Tried the ultra glide lube on my track chain last night. I was impressed, breaking the chain to remove quick links left my hands pretty clean (similar to waxing) after the lube dried, and was obviously much less hassle than the crockpot. If the claim of it being faster than wax/teflon/mos2 holds up, you've got an insane product at pretty much any price, and unfathomable at $16. Definitely replaces Squirt as my travel bag lube.

I am having my LBS put on their chain after discussing with my coach about using CeramicSpeed's chain for IMTX. I also bought the lube for the chain as well. I am pretty excited to see how this chain performs.

I’m glad to hear that. We have not had a single athlete respond about the ride any differently.

Get dialed in and push hard.:-)

Yep, takes a few rides to get dialed in, but I’m with you. It’s a bike that wants to be ridden fast. Did 5 hours last weekend and most of it in the aero position. Felt great, but will do one more tweak to saddle angle, but should be all set after that.

It took a little while to dail myself in but I am a small person on a small frame. Stack was a problem for me solved that by going to Shiv pad holders with cee gee pads. Nothing wrong with dan’s pads I just needed more height. Reach I have the seat slammed all the way forward, areo bars all the way back put me right over the cranks and turned out just right for me. Dan got me a 50 front wheel for racing in cross winds. The 88 front is fine for flat courses or rollers but if you are going down hill in cross winds ( Wisconsin,Hawaii) be prepared to hold on big time.

The Profile Design FC-35 elbow pads are also a lot larger/taller pads and are a direct bolt on. They come in carbon, aluminum and plastic.

Edit:
I got a set of the FC35's in and they were not a direct bolt on. I will need to drill one hole. Not sure if I have different lot numbers than others.

The open mold wheels are fine. I have used wheels like this with zero problems for more than 10 years.
The bike is aerodynamically extremely fast(without argument)...the cockpit adjustment capability is extremely pleasing.
It happens to be my top choice to crack the 50km hour barrier within several months.

^If you haven't already, I would check with an official and make sure the Tactical will pass. I don't think it was designed for regulated (UCI) events. Maybe Dan will know for sure.

The Tactical was not UCI legal. Or, at least it wan’t at the time of design. I don’t follow the UCI changes closely. I will take a look at the most updated rules and see where we stand today.

If the airfoil ratio rule has been eliminated the portion of the bike that may be problematic is the rear tire frame clearance.

For clarification- when we decided to develope the XS Tactical on a 650 Platform - the wheels available were not acceptable - so we opened our own molds on disc, 88 front and rear and 50 mm front and rear. Since we made that commitment we have followed with molds on the same sizes in 700 and those wheels will be available mid summer 2018. At that time we will no longer utilize open mold wheels.

does anyone know what ceegee pads would be a direct velcro on application? my fitter highly endorsers them.

also, he recommended tririg ergo cups if they would bolt up as he’s said a lot of his athletes have had good luck with them boosting comfort a bit. anyone know if they are direct bolt ons?

The Profile Design FC35 elbow cups are large and are direct bolt on (15 mm on center).

Not sure about those pads, but the Profile Design FC35s will be delivered tomorrow. I’ll let you know how they feel after I get them installed.

I’m gonna order some of the F 35s and ceegee pads. I may not even like them and opt to keep the tactical pads... I just enjoy tinkering and experimenting.

I’ll also report back my findings.

Gotta say, I’m digging this bike so much. After my fit i felt even better and stronger on it.
