Now that summer is fleeting here in North America, it's not too soon to start thinking about the Spring season!

What's on your docket for races in 2017? tris, bike rides, running races, etc.

Mine is starting to come together, but some things still tentative:

May: Gran Fondo NY, HarryMan Olympic Tri
June: Syracuse 70.3 or Raleigh 70.3
July: IMLP

My 2017 plan:

2/26 - Cowtown Marathon
3/12 - St. Patty's Day Sprint (there's beer at the finish)
4/2 - Galveston 70.3
6/3 - Dirty Kanza 200
7/8 - Peach Pedal
7/29 - Ironman Vineman
8/26 - Hotter'n Hell Hundred
9/10 - Prairie Man Olympic
11/5 - Oil Man 70.3

It's going to be a busy year. Might switch it up a little if I don't get in to the DK200.

I like your style. I'd go back and edit mine to throw in beers, but I'm too lazy.

Yeah, I don't know any specific races yet, but I do know I will be doing all those sports and drinking beers!

One race I hope to do again is the Alpe d'Huez triathlon. I think I have it on par with Roth as my favourite triathlon.

March: Kemah Oly Tri (same weekend as the due date for my kid so I'm not gonna hold my breath on making this one)
May: Trident Ft. Worth Half Iron (offshore schedule permitting, CapTex Austin Oly otherwise)
July: Cypress Sprint Tri, for the hell of it
August: Hotter'n Hell Hundred
September: IM Wisconsin (may transfer to FL if it winds up interfering with Elk season)

Huff, don't mean to derail thread, but i was bummed to have to withdraw from Miami man this year and a shot at the penticton course due to surgery. I would be thrilled if usat did a repeat there. I know there's precedent for repeating, but any specific reason to believe that may happen?

I am doing three IMs this year and I'm about ready to flip my lid and sell all my shit once the year is done. No idea how you can stomach five of these, even as a pro.

A knowledgeable source told me that Miami Man has an option on a second year if they do a good job this year. Multi Race is an experienced race management company that puts on dozens of events in South Florida so if there is any truth to what I heard then they should get it for two years. The 2018 ITU multi-festival will be in Odense, Denmark.

Hope you are completely recovered for South Africa!!
