I'm visiting North Appleton Wis. Thurs-Sat June 4th-6th and am wondering if anyone knows of decent pool and/or masters program. Thanks

Not sire about the Masters program as I do not participate, but there are several pool options. The outdoor pools should be open starting June 5 and there is a 50 m pool at Erb Park with some lap swim times at 12 to 1 and 4:30 to 6 pm daily. Otherwise, the downtown Appleton YMCA has two pools, 25 m (Buchanan pool) and 25 yards (Boldt pool). I would go for the Buchanan pool as the temp is better for lap swimming. Early morning is usually very open and not crowded. I have had the pool to myself lots of mornings. Heart of the Valley has a smaller pool but I would not recommend it. Too hot and weird layout.

Here are listings from Swimmers Guide and USMS.org, and also the link to the local tri club.

And:
Brian McWilliams, a local triathlon coach, is probably a good resource (followed link on the tri club site...)

I would suggest the Appleton YMCA (downtown) or any of the other local YMCAs (Neenah-Menasha, Kimberly). They all have nice lap pools. Not sure what kind of masters program they have anymore. You could call the swim office at 920-954-7627. Otherwise Xperience Fitness in Appleton has a nice pool, and they may let you drop in for a fee. Badger Pool (Appleton West High School) has open swim hours, but I think mostly in the evenings and on weekends.

I live in Appleton now and can echo what others have said. The downtown YMCA has two lap pools one is 25m and the other 25y. The pool schedules are on the ymcafoxcities.com website. The 50m outdoor pool should be open and the lap swim times are early morning or mid afternoon. There is no masters swimming at the YMCA however.

The Buchanan pool is great though. Usually always a lane open.
