Park Tool PRS-20, PRS-21 or Feedback Sports Sprint Stand
Quote | Reply
Does anyone use either of these three stands? I want to buy one to make cleaning the bike easier after rides. I only want the "euro style" stand. I know the difference between the PRS-20 and PRS-21 being the weight. The Feedback Sports Sprint stand looks great too. Any experiences with these? What do you recommend?

I have used the PRS-20 for several years now. I am really happy with it. Don't have worry about crushing carbon fiber in a clamp (important since there are 2 bikes in the house with no round spots and we know of a local shop that has crushed more than 1 frame).

Makes reaching the bike easy, and one feature I like is after you strap the bike on, you can pop the pin out and lean the bike forward to reach bottom bracket mounted aero brakes easily. The one time saver I learned is if you have multiple bikes, mark the position of the slider for each bike with a sharpie so you can put it in the right position each time before putting the bike on it.

I've got the PRS-20, generally really like it, and recommend it. But I think if I were going to buy again I'd give the Feedback Sports stand a shot. I like that the rail that the bike sits on can slide back and forth over the stand and I like their simple skewer/spacer clamp rather than Park's dual skewer thingy. Their leg configuration looks a bit nicer too. Also I'm just a fan of extruded and anodized AL. ;-)

I just bought the PRS-20. The LBS was trying to sell me on the Feedback Sports Sprint, but I wasn't having it.

I like Feedback Sports Sprint bottom bracket holder better than the Park Tool one. It just seems more stable than having your bottom bracket sit on 4 points. Thoughts?

I looked at both. They are nearly identical other than the wider base and better stability of the Feedback Sports Sprint stand. The price was identical as well. I got the Feedback Sports one and have been very happy with it.

Honestly I have no reason. I think I decided to go with PRS because I got it on amazon for 196$ and the feed back was like 220+? I think. And its red.

Yep. Really. They are about exactly the same in functionality. Even the difference in the wider base on the Feedback is a non-factor if you are using it in your garage or driveway. Maybe an advantage on uneven terrain somewhere.

I like mine to clean bike, but don't like it to work on bike. Because it is built to collapse it has a removable pin. That pin has a lot of slack and the bike moves around alot. Not enough to fall over but very irritating when turning screws.

I've got the feedback sprint stand. I faced the same decision. I liked that it was lighter compared to the 20 and I got it cheaper then the 21. I like the red color. I'm glad I bought and have no complaints. It's easy to operate and setup. It holds my bikes steady. I've washed my bikes on it many times and have seen no rust issues. Good luck

I've been really impressed with the sprint stand - makes working on internal cables much easier to be able to access the BB area while sitting on a stool.
Only thing I feel is lacking is a tool tray to hang off it.

Most of the rest of the workshop is, of course, Park.

Ditto. I use mine for everything. Washing with no rust problems and it is rock solid when I need to really work hard on something.

I've had the 20 for several years and it's served me well. It's kinda heavy but I don't travel with it so that's not an issue.

I have both and would recommend the Feedback Sports Sprint. Overall I think it's the better stand. In particular, it handles regular bike washing far better than the PRS-20. A common problem with the Park is that water gets trapped between the plastic sleeve and the yoke causing corrosion. That in turn squeezes the central column making it almost impossible to adjust the height.

Bottom bracket support is better, primarily because it's platform is longer. That makes it much easier to balance the bike before you lock in the quick release. That also makes it easier to handle bikes of different sizes. When working on the bike it's also a more stable platform so no need for a strap, which saves time if you are dealing with multiple bikes.

The design of the Sprint Stand makes it easier than the PRS-20 to work on a bike with chainstay mounted brakes like a Speed Concept. You can invert the bike while it's still in the quick release using s towel to support the saddle/handlebars where they make contact with the ground.

Additionally the Sprint Stand packs smaller and is generally easier to handle. The quick release is smoother, in fact all the fixings are smoother. As has been said it's also more stable on uneven ground.

The only job I think the PRS-20 is better for is fitting traditional threaded bottom brackets. It's a little bit stiffer than the Sprint Stand.

I'm not sure if there mail order in Canada but I'm certain that you'll find it at MEC or at a local bike shop in your area.

Another vote for the Feedback Sports Sprint over the Park tool stand. I've used both, sold the Park (and I love most Park tools!)

Just a better overall design/feel, especially if you can get for about the same cost as the Park (which is usually a bit cheaper). I also wash my bikes on it and zero signs of water retention, rust on connectors, etc. I like the red ;-)

I'm interested in the Feedback Sports stand now....hrmmm more research to do. Is it possible to mount the bike to the Sprint Stand and have the front wheel hanging off the stand? Similar to this? http://www.dewielershop.nl/...ntagestandaard-4.jpg

Yes, you can put the rear dropouts in the fork mount and effectively turn it around. the mount slides nice on the "rack"
