PEAK PERFORMANCE BOOK
Hi ST Community - Brad Stulberg here, one of the coauthors of Peak Performance. I'm glad to see the frontpage reviews and that there is so much interest around the book. Happy to entertain questions/discussion here. I try to write as if I am having a conversation with the reader, so whenever the opportunity to actually do so presents itself, I jump on it.

I finished the book and passed it onto my wife. I think ya'll did a great job of making it approachable for people that wouldn't want to wade through the nitty-gritty of the research but still want some sound guidance.

HI Brad

3/4 of the way into Peak Performance and know it's one that will remain on the bookshelf for a long time. I listen to your co-authors podcast and enjoy that a lot as well. It's nice to have science to back up some of the experiences or thoughts I've gathered over the years.

That being said "rest" is a pretty sticky point when it comes to triathlon training and likely most of us on this webpage struggle with it. I find i need a lot more "priming" for rest then I need for working out. Perhaps material for the next book... great job.

Thanks for the warm words.

RE: Rest - I agree, 100 percent. For me, it's really helped me to consider resting as a part of the work. Not separate from the work, but the second half of the work.

I'm actually working on a column for New York Magazine on this very topic. I'll post here once it's published. Should be soon.
