It's 10 days to the woman's race so it's time to get busy predicting. Who do you pick for 1st / 2nd / 3rd in both the woman and mens race?

To add a bit of fun to it you also can select a "dark horse" who can cross the line in any of those positions for bonus bragging rights. Your dark horse however cannot be selected from the top 10 ranked woman or men on the Olympic's rankings (not ITU), to avoid confusion your dark horse cannot be from the list below:

I think it's more likely to be a wetsuit "optional" swim (between 14-20 deg) than not. Which means everyone will opt to wear one.

Hall stretches the swim out and Jorgensen, Denham, Dittmer, Haug, Findlay ( :( I'm Canadian) and others miss the front swim pack - Spirig and Norden, if not the front swim pack, bike their way to it, perhaps drag a few with them, but it won't be easy as Jenkins will want a hot pace up front from Hall and Holland (her teammates) - on the run, Jenkins pushes from the start, drops all but Spirig who out kicks her, so:
Spirig
Jenkins
Hewitt
Dark horse: Haug (if she gets off the bike with the front pack)
Most of the big names make the front pack - Butterfield drags small group up to the pack, including Murray of South Africa - comes down to the run:
Murray
A. Brownlee
Gomez
Dark horse: Kyle Jones of Canada (ok, so maybe a little Canadian wishful thinking here)
A races: Canadian Nationals (sprint), Out Games (sprint)
"Suck it up, Buttercup"
(me, to myself, usually at some point during the run on every hard training day)

Don't really care about the men's race.
I think Densham and Moffatt will occupy 2 of the 3 places and Densham will be ahead of Moffatt. The other will either be Findlay or Jenkins I expect. I honestly think Densham is a good chance for gold.

The women's race will be interesting, because there is a handful of great athletes who could win, and it's not obvious which one it will be.
The men's race will be interesting, because folks are going to have to try some crazy stuff if they want a chance of beating the Brownlees. Either that, or they won't even try for the gold.

Unless it's really hot weather, the men's race is easy:
1 - A. Brownlee
2 - J. Brownlee
3 - J. Gomez
4 - R. Murray
Women's race is much less clear with a healthy Findlay able to run away from everyone, (or else implode) but I haven't seen her race in a while. So:
1 - N. Spirig
2 - H. Jenkins
3 - A. Hewitt
4 - E. Densham
This will be verry interesting.
Edit: There will be no dark horses in either race.
