Despite being Wiggo as the fav, and partly because I'm a fan, my prediction is:

1. Taylor Phinney (that's an emotional bet);
2. Spartacus
3. Wiggins

Women:

1. Armstrong
2. Marianna Vos (though I think bec Armstrong is injured, I think I should switch 1 and 2)
3. ?

Who you got?

Clara Hughes should be a legitimate threat at the TT event today.

Actually, the reason I don't have a 3rd pick for the "wimmins" is that I don't really know/follow women's cycling as much as I should...

Well, the women's TT is over (head over to the spoilers thread if you want to know the result).

No spoiling here, just in case someone comes to this thread and doesn't know the results yet.

Question about the TT...

So, I suppose, if it does rain later on or whenever, it's just the luck of the draw, whether Olympic TT or TdF TT, right?

yep. Over the course of a few hours the direction of wind can also be quite different for the early / late competitors.

Phinney to at least get a podium. Spartacus is still hurt. I'd think it goes Wiggo, Phinney, and Martin. it's also slippery out, so people best go bring their A-game

Don't think it's slippery, the roads here are dry and the sun just came out. I'm working from home, about 100 yards from the course. Will head down there shortly and see if I can get some photos...

you are right, just saw the feed and it looks like it's sunny out.

seemed to have been drizzling for the women's race, or i'm just seeing things after working 16 hours yesterday...

btw, anyone notice and Vino's bottle popped out at the start?
