Oceanside California ride help
Hi all.

2 weeks in Sunny California to just ride.

I am using alot of searches here and map-my-ride, but need route help.

Looking for a few 100 mile rides out of basically the pier in town, would like advice, routes, and if you are close company!

Would also live to buy someone a beer/coffee with a road map and pick you brain.

Thanks in advance for nay help,

Martin

Bring ID, ride up through the base (or on the 5 if you dare) to PCH up to Huntington Beach. Turn around and ride back.

PM Mike Plumb. He used to post routes from O'side inland on here all the time.

Search through mymyride Lots of rides heading into east county, with lots of hills. I just moved away from there last summer, I'd recommend swinging by Nytro or Swami's in Encinitas and latching onto one of their rides.

I will look for the exact course, but you can actually take the 76 from Oceanside straight east out to Pala and do some climbs and head back. That is about 100 miles

Here is the link to the Facebook page that has more info on that ride https://www.facebook.com/events/638836752829463/

You will need to commute to the starting point, which is about 45 minutes away from oceanside.

I couldn't find the exact course, but check this one out: http://connect.garmin.com/course/6169436

You can actually continue on Pala Road, instead of turning right, and head to Palomar Mountain by turning left on Nate Harrison Rd.

Thank you!
And the Garmin connect route looks great also, much appreciated.
I LOVE how everyone rides here all the time, so great.
As a highlight on the beach after today's ride got to watch dolphins play not far from shore.
Unsure why the great white north was ever settled, so cold and desolate!.
