Nope, he was a few seconds slower than Sanders. Apparently he's a former pro that rode with Cannondale last year.

He's a professional cyclist. Rode for the Cannondale team last year, but lost his job when they merged with the Garmin team.
The fact that Lionel Sanders out biked a pro tour guy and then ran 18 minutes faster really puts his bike/run performance into perspective.
