New computer - now what to do with WKO+?
Well my Macbook is 7-8 years old so I just bought a new laptop (windows based this time). For the last 5 year I have kept all my files neatly in WKO+ v3.0 so now I'm switching I need some help how to move forward.

So a few questions:
- can I use my old activation code to launch WKO+ on my new laptop?
- is WKO+ compatible with win 8.1?
- should I forget about WKO+ altogether and just get something totally online such as a trainingpeaks account? (what am i losing by doing that?)
- should I forget about WKO+ or trainingpeaks and move to Golden Cheetah (what am i losing by doing that)?

Regardless of the path forward, are there any tips or tricks to have easy access to my history should I want to import it into whatever I should be using?

Thanks for your thoughts!

you can use wko 3.0 on more than 1 pc the licence allows for 2 but you can also deactivate your old pc under help>register, not tried on windows 8.1. i personally hate training peaks online and used wko for too long to start using golden cheetah, though i do dabble with aerolab in it a bit

Thanks - didn't realize I could have it run on two computers. I will try to find some instructions how to have it run on both computers. That way I can maintain some history.

I put my answers in bold :) Are you sure you want to move from Mac to Windows 8.1? I can't say I know a lot of people who made that move :)

1 - http://help.trainingpeaks.com/...on-another-computer-
2 - YES
3 - Best bet is both that way you have web access to data as well as a downloadable copy in case you have future PC issues. http://help.trainingpeaks.com/...O-into-TrainingPeaks
4 - GC integrates with TP as well. GC handles cycling only (unless something has changed).

Bonus Answer - You can also move your history but if you sync with TP it'll be easier if/when you move.

Thanks, this already helps a lot. :-) Do I want to make the switch back? Yes and no... I liked my mac but it got so old it became incompatible with several things so I needed something new. And the price of Apple products compared to the PC brands did not make much sense, plus I learned through experience Apple products contain poor batteries, chargers etc and they charge an arm and a leg for those. And using MS Office on my Mac was no fun, it works much better on a laptop. So we'll see how long it takes before i get totally frustrated. ;-)

:) Just my bias :)

I love my MacBook Air, almost 3 years old and just replaced the battery and I'd gladly pay another $150 so I don't have to use my Win 8.1 machine which does nothing but frustrate me!
