For each of you nice and interesting people who post here I wish you a safe and happy new year. Standing on the threshold of a new year is exciting with all its possibilities. Remember to treasure what you have and can do, because in the grand scheme of things, very few people are privledged enough to be able to enjoy our sport or lucky enough to have the strength, health, fitness and mental fortitude to do what we do. Something to be thankful for. Be safe in all your training. Always wear your helmet and make your buddies do the same. Never be afraid to chase a dream.

The "First Dozen" is a leisurely 12 mile ride around Dearborn featuring appearances by such notable suspects as Calvin, Michael R. Rabe, Frankie Andreu (scheduled to appear) and the usual assortment of customers, fans and ex-girlfriends. It starts at 2 P.M. 2 blocks from Bikesport and ends at your leisure. The Mayor usually starts the ride and there is a police escort (one of the cops, Chip Kulakowski, is a former 3 time USCF State Champion). Big fun. I have to watch because I'm still sick. :( Happy New Year!
