Just seen the new ISM named Attack on Inside triathlon, but can't find it anywhere else.
Anybody knows release date for that ? Seems ok for those who feel Breakaway's a bit too wide.

I think they FINALLY got it right! I want to get my hands on one of these ASAP. I wonder when it will be available. I have the Breakaway, but do feel it's a little too wide, but still better than anything else out there.

I have the breakaway also, but isn't it only wide if you sit rearward instead of on the prongs? I've been researching the attack, and it doesn't seem like its more narrow in the prong area (the main seating area).

I have to first say that I ride a Cobb (V-Flow Max) so consider me biased, or whatever.

But I always have to question with ISM, if they are so great, why are there like 20 models of the saddle that are constantly changing? Even this one, finally, an ISM, but with a narrower front to avoid the thigh chafing. Sounds like the description of a Cobb which you could have bought years ago.

That said, I don't have anything against ISM. Saddles are highly individualized so if you find something that works for you, honestly more power to you. However, if I was an ISM owner I would find the array of choices available to me somewhat dizzying, along with the prospect of buying new variations of my current saddle somewhat disheartening. I want you to get it right before I give you my money, not have to re-purchase a product again and again until you do.

Isn't the common complaint that it is the prongs that are too wide? In which case this new version does not address that; from the description:

"The tongs are still very broad and ISM says they will stay that way. Narrow design will impair blood flow they say, but the rear section of the Attack is much narrower than their other models."

And according to ISM you shouldn't be sitting on the back anyways, right?

FWIW - I ride, and love, my Prologue.

Exactly. If the prongs are too wide, you are sitting too far back on the saddle.

Your contradicting yourself. You ask why theres "Like 20 models",(actually 12) and then you answer your own question by saying saddles are highly individualized. Thats the reason they have so many models, cause people are highly individualized and their offering many choices to fit different people. I just dont get what your mean by having to re purchase a product again and again, if your seat works, stick with it.

I use the ISM racing saddle for my road bike and a prologue on my tri bike (opposite to how they describe folks should be using the saddle. I think the new Attack is a marketing gimic, it's the same shape as the prologue or podium. I could cut 10% off the back of the saddle and it probably wouldn't make a difference b/c I'm sitting in the front. The attack has a bit more length, which doesn't seem to do much.

I'm hoping they cut down on the weight. Really like my ISM road (older model) but it's really heavy (noticed when packing my back a few weeks ago). Will be moving to the attack or prologue soon.

I think it's a great idea for a road saddle. When I'm racing and training and doing a tricky descent I get back on the saddle (road) and the widness of it sometimes, while not overly intrusive, can be strange. I have the peak for one of my cyclcross bikes and this is even more apparent. I think the 0 width transition of this would allow me to move around on the saddle more on my cross bike, but I'm not going to shell out the $200 that undoubtedly this is going to cost. Besides, the point of these saddles is that you don't move around much, you stay on the front where you're supposed to.

(disclaimer, I have 4 adamos- race, road, peak, typhoon- and they have saved me much problems, so I am SUPER biased)
