Neil makes great sails and sail boards.
He knows about air flow.
From that photo it's hard to tell but I've seen his bikes.
They're the real deal.

Rear brake on the seat stay? Does he know something that Trek, BMC, Cervelo, Specialized, etc etc etc don't?

cool story bro, although it has nothing to do with rear brake placement...

Nah I'm a mere mortal that has a family, job and kid that has events of his own. I'm slow and I have to train. You da man though (in a Practice, practice, who needs practice AI kind of way).

As with the current Diablo and Alize road bikes, the Bayamo was shaped for NeilPryde by BMW DesignWorks and while the company still has to validate the new form in the wind tunnel – not to mention figure out the lay-up schedule as the prototypes shown at Interbike were just mock-ups – it at least looks the part for now.http://www.triradar.com/...amo-2012-first-look/

But, assuming it is prices accordingly, it looks like they have at least not done anything obviously insane with their design, which I appreciate. So many generic non-wind-tunnel frames will have a 9 foot wide head tube bulb or something.
As gerard said once "at the very least you can minimize the frontal area"
looks like their final design does an ok job of that.
but will it be cheaper than P2/Speed Concept 7/shivTri?

It's hard to tell from the photos in this thread, but as compared to the mockups it appears they may have gotten rid of the "hard edges" on the down tube and seatube? If so...that's most likely an improvement.
Oh, and what happened to the "bayonet" fork?

They said they were going to have two models of this frame, one with the 'bayonet' fork and one without.

Back when I was British Army Cyprus Windsurfing Champion (how about that for a back-door brag....well, more slam-the-front-door-in-your-face brag!:)) NeilPryde sails were the Zipp of the industry, probably still are today. I had quite the quiver of sails, but they were pricey.

QOTM for the opposite reason you think...
Why not train a lot and have the brake more aero? What a douche. Probably rides a BMX for Ironman?

I did a quick search and couldn't find any figures on how much, if any time a bottom bracket mounted brake saves. Any data out there?

Finally the price is close to/lower than Speed Concept 7.5
Ultegra complete bike is ~USD3.4K, with Profile Design alloy bar, Mavic Aksium..

While I try not to judge a bike without putting it in the tunnel, it seems that a better bike could be made just by paying a bit more attention to what most companies are already doing. This is one of the things that really surprises me, it doesn't cost any more to put a TRP under-the-bb brae on the bike, why not just make that part of the design? It seems that there are a number of other easy ways to make the frame faster, but, again, without a tunnel, it's just speculation.
now that this has been out for awhile now: any reviews? I can get either the alize or this for a good price...
United Healthcare has been quoted saying the neilpryde engineers say it's faster than the P3 in the tunnel...
