I just mounted my first set of tubulars over the weekend. I hope that the ride is great because the process was a pain in the ass. First issue was that I didn't know to rough up the tape on the tires until after I had put two coats of glue on them. They were Tufos and didn't appear to have a covering over the fairly rough cloth. Do I need to worry? Second issue was the alignment of the tires. The instructions I used explained how to get the tires aligned so that an equal amount of tape showed on each side. I aligned until my thumbs were trashed but they still weren't perfect. Do I need to worry again? If need be, I will pull of the tires and start again but I'm hoping that this ordeal is over.
