I see from the another thread there is a great deal of interest in what works for Lionel. We had our Series Awards day this past weekend and Lionel was there to accept his cheque for winning the Pro division and share some thoughts on 2014. Richard Pady conducted a Q&A with Lionel which some of you may find interesting. Lionel has been a member of the MultiSport Canada Ambassador Team for two years and watching his rise has been a real pleasure.
I have seen some of the negative comments or opinions about Lionel's past and/or training and can say with complete confidence that this young man is a very balanced and intelligent athlete and person. His training might be somewhat unorthodox but he is the first to explain that it might not be for everyone. He also has things in balance in that he revels in the spiritual side of racing and is not one to go on about himself. I would humbly suggest that those who don't know him might reconsider their negative thoughts and opinions because this is a very gifted athlete who really has a firm grasp on things. Having said that, his pre-race nutrition is definitely not one any of us have heard of before.
Anyway, for those who might want to hear his thoughts you can visit the following http://www.multisportcanada.com/...c-series-awards-day/
P.S. Our primary camera and audio failed so these files might be of a lesser quality. There are 14 videos in this talk but for some reason the link on our page is not directing properly. We are trying to fix that about in the meantime here is the link to the rest of Lionel's answers. https://www.youtube.com/user/MSCTriathlon
