12 weeks until Chattanooga. Just curious what other people training hours average during this time. Is 10 hours a week on the bike enough for about a 6 hour split? Assuming good aero set up, etc
Was thinking of splitting the rides up like this...5 hour, 2 hour, 2 hour, 1 hour.
10hrs/wk on the bike for 12 weeks (give or take) can be enough for a 4.5hr split there.
The actual hours of riding dont mean much in terms of a bike split. What matters is the time spent at your presumed race pace (power or whatever metric you are using to track) or above. 10 hours of easy spinning could equate to a 7 hour bike split and 5 hours of hard riding could net a sub 5, just depends on the duration and intensity of work you are doing.
