There is a ton of stuff going on. I would suggest every retailer is offering some type of promotion.

Here is a tip, which you likely already know: Set up a Yahoo! e-mail for yourself that you use to collect promotional e-mails. I collect them since a part of job has been writing them for various companies. Sign up to all the lists you can, they often offer a discount just for signing up. Then sit back and wait for the junk to roll in. You'll be able to survey the sales landscape with one scroll through your "In" box.

I bet I get... maybe 50-100 promotional e-mails a day across a ton of product categories. Some are brilliant, others are dismal.
