ok so i got lazy with entering in my workouts in my online log and have just been writing them in my notebook during classes.....so here are some numbers
up until the 14th: 98,196
15th:off
16th: off
17th:6,500
18th: am:3,700 pm:5,200
19th:4,000
20: 6,650
21:off
22:am: 4,300 pm:5,550
23:5,300(est)
24: am:3,600 pm:5,300(est)
25: 6,500
26: am: 3,300 pm: 5,000 (est)
27: 3,050
28:off
29: 6,500
30: 5,500
31: 5,700
can't find the workouts for two days, but estimated the distences...Probably could have made it without all those stinkin days off. I wouldn't have taken them completly off, but I went to the pool those days and they were either closed or had age group practice.
January total: 183,846 yards
91% of goal yardage

Swam 2650m today. Puts my month at 35,900m. An amazing 900m over my goal. I am sort of excited to not have to hunt out this thread anymore to post on it.
Good job everyone and good luck if you are doing next months swim challenge.

I ended up with a total of 51,300 m for the month. Pretty good considering that I skipped a couple of swim workouts early in the month.

I did it - today 3600m - for a total of 45,000m for January - and for the record i hated every minute of this morning workout. I kicked my own ass last night at the masters workout (4200m) and then turned around and coached an hour and then swam another 3600 this morning. so i'm taking a few days off from the pool. so that's nearly 8000 in 12 hours - really tough for me! but I celebrated with some friends at pub quiz tonight - we didnt quite win (boohoo) but were close!!!!!
hasta

Thanks for doing this...
I had a couple of tough nights at work which kept me from going for the last 4.7k, so I failed. In any event, that's by far the most I've ever swam in a month, and I definitely learned quite a bit about what I need to improve on. All in all, successful month.

I am right there with you. A snow-day or two and a travel day made my goal unattainable (as well as my Platinum goal for running). But all in all it was not a bad swim month for me.
But no more messing around. I've got to stick to the coach's program now that I'm within 4 months of my A race. So nose to the grindstone!!!
