Is this a good buy?

I am looking at a 2002 Cervelo P2K size 51, 650c, ultegra everything except Dura Ace rear deraillure, carbon fork, aluminum seat post, for $500.
Is it worth buying? I mainly concerned about the age of the bike and components.
Thanks.

I'm sure you can find a better bike on criagslist for the money or save up a little more.

Assuming it fits (it's very long and low), and all the components are in descent shape, that's a phenomenal bike. I rode one from 2003-2011.
I'd say $500 is a fair price.

On paper that sounds like a pretty sweet deal. I'd just double check on how often the owner rode it and whether or not it's been crashed/dropped at all. Triathletes and cyclists are pretty anal about taking care of their bikes so it should still be in decent shape. If you do get it, I'd recommend having your LBS give it a once over just to check for any small problems.
