Is it possible to add a 54 chain ring to Ultegra 6700 crank?

Looking to change my standard 53/39 to a 54/39. Is it possible to add a dura ace chain ring or any 54t chainring to this setup?

thanks in advance.

Yes. 54t Shimano 10s compatible rings in 130mm BCD are available from a variety of sources.

The 54T rings are designed to be ridden with a 42T inner ring. Using it with a 39T inner will probably degrade the front shifting somewhat. The gains from adding 1T in the front are minimal (less than 1/4 the difference between using a 11 vs 12T in the back).

I have a friend who's running 54/39 with 11-28 rear and it works fine for him on two bikes. Kuota Kalibur and Cervelo p5-6. In any case, if I wonder which duraace 54t (7800 vs 7900) which will color match the ultegra 6700.

Thanks for confirming that using a duraace outer will work!
